reflection of presentation 2

Date: Wednesday 23thMay 2012

Room: W007

Time: 10:10

Topic: Prodigality

He introduced himself very well and fast. He said he was going to talk about prodigality in the UAE. He began the presentation with a picture that shows an Emirati man who paid 50 million Dhs for a car number plate. This picture is a symbol about the prodigality in our society.

He used the pictures to explain the problem more clearly. I saw manifestations of the prodigality that I had never seen; the unreasonable banquets, extravagance in the hospitality and spending money in ceremonies (like the Christmas tree in Emirates Palace). Also he discussed the point about giving the child smart phones such as blackberry and i phone, which is  prodigal as he said. Finally he talked about the prodigality in water and electricity consumption to cover the entire problem from all sides.

The slides were good and the color was symmetric. Also he put a lot of pictures to use more than words.

His body language was perfect. He moved when he was talking and changing his place in each point of the presentation.

The eye contact was good; he saw the whole class and also when he changed his place he looked to the opposite students.

The questions were not a lot because they came at the end of presentation, but he answered all of them.

My impression is very good. I think he did well and talked about a real problem we face in our society.

preasentation reflection

Date: 23 - 4 - 2012

Time: 10.30 am
Location: W103
Subject: Formula 1
Presenter: Old Ahmed

He introduced himself and told us what he was going to talk about. Before he began, he asked some questions, like kind of challenging for us.

He gave me information about Formula 1 that was the first time I heard it, because I didn’t have any background about it. Now I know how many teams in Formula1 racing, engine suppliers and tires. Also they change the engine after the race. Also he talked about the shape of Yas Island; it looks like a gun (that means fast). Ahmed gave us some important information about famous people at F1 world e.g the CEO and the first champion of Formula 1.

The slides were clear and he put pictures easy to understand.

The language was great, and the eye contact was very good because he was seeing all the students in the class and reacting with them.

He answered the questions fluently. Also if he didn’t know the answer, he tried to answer.

He made the presentation interesting by asking questions for us to see what information we had.
